GC/MS Technician – TEMP to PERM
Under general managerial direction, this position performs analytical and physical testing on raw material and finished nutritional supplements. The essential responsibility is the development and execution of GC and GC/MS methods which entails extraction/partitioning, then gas chromatography with EC and FPD dissection on incoming herbal raw materials and finished products. The technician tracks samples, enters test results in computer and records data into lab notebooks. Is responsible for the maintaining laboratory equipment according to SOP. Must have the ability to work in an ISO 9000 environment.
BS in Chemistry with at least 2 years laboratory experience using GC equipment. MUST have current USP/NF experience relating to pesticides, heavy metal and residual solvents, including sample preparation and extraction methods. Strong methods development and validation skills required. Other responsibilities include writing SOP’s and keeping them current. Good computer skills, particularly with scientific application software, MS Excel and other MS Office applications.

Triarco has an exciting opportunity in our Paterson, NJ location. Reporting to the Director of Product Development, this position will design and formulate nutraceutical products, develop specifications and prepare samples of new formulations.
The qualified applicant must have a BS in chemistry with 2 years
minimum formulation experience in the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical
industry. The candidate must also demonstrate knowledge of
current GMP, FDA regulations, policies, and practices along with
having good computer skills, particularly with scientific application
software.
